Lauren Rohs

Lauren Rohs is an equine-guided facilitator, voice practitioner, theatre artist, and co-founder of The Gateway Immersion. Her work is organized around one central commitment: freedom — for the human nervous system, for the voice, and for the horse.

She approaches presence as a discipline — the alignment of breath, body, and language that makes real choice possible. Freedom, in her work, is agency within relationship.

Lauren completed The Reflective Horse® Mastery Program with Cassandra Ogier in 2021 and is in apprenticeship to facilitate TRH Mastery, holding immersive retreats and cohort spaces rooted in consent and relational integrity. Horses are not tools in the process; their freedom to engage or not is respected alongside the participant’s.

A certified Patsy Rodenburg Associate, Lauren’s training is grounded in embodied presence, breath, and classical text — including Shakespeare and Greek drama, traditions born outdoors, in the round, where language met sky and earth and was carried on breath between bodies. She understands equine collaboration as a continuation of that lineage: presence practiced in open space, truth revealed through relationship and witness.

Freeing the voice is foundational to her work — not to improve sound, but to restore access to truth under pressure. Poetry becomes a container for what lives beneath language. It is not always polished. It is alive.

Her facilitation is grounded and direct, with an instinct for when truth is close and the courage to move toward it. She supports survivors, artists, and leaders alike in bringing greater equity and freedom into the spaces they inhabit.

Based in New York, she works across equine-guided experiences, retreats, theatre, and voice-centered spaces.
