CEGE, SheHerdPower Facilitator

Carla completed her degree in Ecopsychology & Equine Guided Education & Therapy at Western Washington University, Bellingham, WA in Summer 2016. She joins The Reflective Horse® team as CEGE, SheHerdPower Facilitator from the Pacific Northwest, where she lives with her horse Franky.

During her time in college, Carla completed her Equine Guided Education certification with Ariana Strozzi at Sky Horse Ranch in spring of 2014, and subsequently interned with TRH® in summer 2015 focusing on coaching and facilitation of teenagers in recovery from substance abuse and mental health challenges. She also took a TRH® affiliated internship in the Montana wilderness learning the art of mule-packing to add to her education.

Carla grew up in Germany and began riding when she could barely walk, competing in dressage, showjumping, and eventing. Throughout her time taking lessons and competing she was always looking for a different way of working with horses; one that encourages trust, curiosity, and true communication between horse and human. Carla’s life passion is to study horse-human relationship, and she is committed to working with horses and humans in a way that offers a mutually fulfilling and enriching experience.
